Hello, we are the Johnson's. A little about us, we have been married for almost 15 years, we have three children, Jeffrey who is 21 and lives and works in Germany, Juliette is 9 and loves art and theater, Josephine is 5 and has a passion for playing and discovering all things.
Jeremy and I met in Anderson through mutual best friends. He was home from the Army, and we became friends. Over the next several years and many of life's challenges, we started dating and as they say the rest is history. A long and eventful history. Jeremy is a veteran of the United States Army, and currently is a quality control manager for an environmental infrastructure company, FORGEN, based out of Rocklin, CA.
Before getting my degree in early childhood education, I worked at the YMCA in youth programs, and as a preschool teacher at North Cottonwood Elementary. Previously, I was a flight attendant with Alaska Airlines, an assistant manager at Black Bear Diner, and a few other management and customer service positions in my teens and early 20's.
I have always had a passion for working with children, amazed with their developmental stages from birth, and their abilities to learn and grow. I have talked about having a family childcare center or just a play center, for almost 10 years. Living in Vancouver/Portland for years I really fell in love with the indoor play spaces that allow for parents to interact with their children in fun play, as well as other the interaction adults get to have with other adults. After working at the YMCA and as a preschool teacher, in our local community, I found that what I really wanted was to invest in my community; to have something that benefited the children and families. So, we started Tiny Steps Family Childcare, and it's going to be a great adventure. We hope to bring more than just a family childcare but community involvement and family engagement.

Hello, my name is Cori and I have been working in child care for 6 years now. Three of the years I was a nanny for two wonderful families and the other three years I have worked at preschools. Throughout my preschool years I have been able to work with infants, toddlers and preschool ages. As a child growing up, I always had a love for children and knew I would end up in a career geared towards them. While I have my credits in early childhood education, I am currently attending school to get my teaching degree for elementary school ages. On my free time I love to be outdoors whether that is hiking, camping or spending a day out on the lake or river with my two dogs. I look forward to starting this new adventure working at Tiny Steps family childcare.
